Born April 26, 1953 in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, Ad van Hassel began painting in 1980 after exploring various creative disciplines. In 1983, he opened two exclusive galleries in the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam. Since 1990, Ad has devoted himself to making screen prints, both for his own artwork and that of other artists, including Corneille and Herman Brood. Today, Ad’s focus in his studio is primarily on the manufacture of sculptures, including the famous Art Candy’s.
