About the artist
Ad van Hassel (Roosendaal, 1953) began his career in 1980 and has since built up an impressive body of work. In 1983, he opened two exclusive galleries in the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam. Since 1990, Ad has specialized in screen printing, both for his own work and that of other artists, including Herman Brood, Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem.
After the passing of such luminaries as Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad shifted his focus to CNC laser cutting and milling of various materials. These techniques allow him to create colorful and unique sculptures that are loved by art lovers worldwide.
