About Ad van Hassel
Ad van Hassel (Roosendaal 1953) is a Dutch artist who began his career in 1980. After exploring various creative disciplines, he opened two exclusive galleries at the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam in 1983. Since 1990, Ad has specialized in screen printing, both for his own work and that of other artists. Among other things, he was Herman Brood’s regular printer for 12 years and also worked with other big names such as Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem.
After the passing of such luminaries as Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad turned his expertise to CNC laser cutting and milling of various materials. These techniques allow him to create colorful and unique sculptures. Ad van Hassel’s artworks are highly sought after and find their way to art lovers both inside and outside the Netherlands.
