Impressions artworks by Bart van Oijen
Bart van Oijen gradually began to abstract his work, that is, he began to alienate reality, or even bid it farewell entirely, using only form and color. Currently, he is primarily engaged in brightly colored lyrical abstract work; his techniques include mainly acrylic paint on canvas and mixed media on canvas and paper. His abstract work usually has a subject from nature as a pictorial starting point, but while working, little of that usually remains.
Van Oijen rarely uses brushes and brushes; he has very clearly found his own techniques, disregarding conventional methods, and confidently using old rags and his fingers to achieve the desired result. Van Oijen wants to point out the beauty now existing around humans. His abstract work usually has a subject from nature as a pictorial starting point, but while working, little of that usually remains.
