Explore the enchanting world of artist Emiliana Cordaro. Born in Maarssen in 1967, she completed her art education at the Utrecht School of the Arts. Emiliana is a master at creating impressionist oil paintings that bring the beauty of landscapes to life. Her inspiration is the world around her, ranging from quaint Italian villages to vast European moors and everything in between.
Her art is not just about rendering reality, but mainly about capturing the atmosphere of the landscape. She transforms the landscape into a composition of shapes, lines, colors and contrasts. Using vibrant pigments, she creates colors that recall the later work of William Turner.
