Description
Femme de Rêve is one of the largest Guy Olivier painting in our collection and an absolute masterpiece! The artwork is painted with thick lines of acrylic paint on linen. Features an attractive, modern baking frame. This is obviously a unique painting and comes with certificate of authenticity. The artwork is on display at our gallery in Amersfoort but a trial placement at your home is also a possibility. Please feel free to contact us for this purpose.
Guy Olivier (born Maastricht, 1964) is a Dutch artist. In the scenes on his canvases – whether portraits of salaciously self-conscious young women or of inebriated night owls who have suddenly seen the light or love, of out-of-control dinners or Fellini-esque circus scenes – the theatrical exuberance of life is celebrated everywhere on canvas and paper. Everywhere you attend exhibitions by Guy Olivier with an old-fashioned vernissage, the air vibrates and shudders between the eyes of visitors and the variegated canvas.
Guy manages to bring his wonderful sense of color and vital and burgundy joie de vivre directly to the canvas. In doing so, I have always watched the people coming in carefully. That has to do with their explicit presence, of course, but it’s mostly because of the immediate appearance of the canvases. Never have I seen anyone walk by the works without amazement, admiration or wide-eyed wonder.
