Very fine artwork created by Jochem de Graaf. It was made with oil paint on linen, with the sides of the work also finished. This means it can be hung directly on the wall. We assure you that the colors of this artwork are even more beautiful and vibrant in reality. Optionally, it is possible to provide the artwork with a tray frame, of which we can show several examples in the gallery. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is on display at our gallery in Amersfoort, as well as available for art loan. Online purchase is also an option, and after placing an order we will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
Amersfoort Art Gallery houses possibly the largest, and certainly the most beautiful, collection of paintings by Jochem de Graaf in the Netherlands. All our artworks are on display in the gallery, where you are most welcome.
Jochem de Graaf is based in Bunschoten and has painting as his great passion. A self-taught artist, his manner of working and use of materials is characteristic of his paintings, with relief offering impressive depth effects. The play of light and shadow further emphasizes this.
Jochem has an extensive body of work and paints a diverse range of subjects, including (female) figures, flowers, landscapes and cities/villages, all in his recognizable style. His artworks are sometimes set up with modeling paste and are all made with oil paint on linen canvases. With a putty knife, thick brush or spatula, he applies paint to the canvas, then applies refinement with smaller tools.
