About the artist

Ad van Hassel, born in 1953 in Roosendaal, began his artistic career in 1980 after a long journey through various creative disciplines. In 1983, he opened two exclusive galleries in the prestigious hotels Sonesta and Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. Since 1990 he has been active as a screen printer, not only for his own work but also for that of other well-known artists. For example, he was Herman Brood’s regular printer for twelve years and worked with artists such as Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem.

Innovative techniques and materials

After the death of such luminaries as Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad van Hassel shifted his focus to a new technique: CNC laser cutting and milling of various materials. This innovative approach has led to the creation of colorful and striking sculptures loved by art lovers worldwide.
