About the artist: Ad van Hassel

A versatile Dutch artist

Ad van Hassel, born in Roosendaal in 1953, began his artistic career in 1980 after years of experimenting with various creative disciplines. In 1983, he opened two exclusive galleries in the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam.

Expert in screen printing and CNC laser cutting

Since 1990, Ad has specialized in the silkscreen technique, not only for his own work, but also for that of other well-known artists such as Herman Brood, Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem. After the passing of some of these luminaries, Ad turned his expertise to CNC laser cutting and milling, techniques he uses to create his colorful sculptures.
