About Tanneke Peetoom
Tanneke Peetoom is a self-taught Dutch photographer born in 1967. Her passion for photography began in October 2010 when she received her first camera from her husband. She began photographing her daughters and their friends, which soon led to her first assignments thanks to social media.
Tanneke has developed a unique style with bright portrait photos, always taken with natural light and a romantic look. She uses antique hairstyles and clothing and emphasizes the purity and vulnerability of children, with a special focus on the eyes. Her work has been published in several magazines, and she has provided several book covers. She is also featured in the book “The New Dutch Photography Talents.
Recently, Tanneke won second prize in the prestigious European photo competition PX3 Prix de la Photography Paris with her photo “Eva, the girl with the veil.
