Sacha put on his boots, took his rifle, his hat and his bag of ammunition. His dog Tom, seeing what Sacha was preparing, jumped up and started running around. “Honey, we’re leaving to go hunting,” he told his wife. Then, closing his eyes slightly and with an air of confidence, he added, “Tonight we eat duck.” After spending six hours in the swamps, after emptying his ammunition box and even trying a slingshot and all the sticks and stones he could find in his path, nothing worked, he could not kill a single duck. Fortunately, the local supermarket was still open. That evening they ate a succulent farm-raised chicken for dinner.
