About the artist
Ad van Hassel (Roosendaal, 1953) is a renowned Dutch artist who began his career in 1980. After years of experimenting with various creative disciplines, he opened two exclusive galleries in Amsterdam in 1983. Since 1990, Ad has specialized in screen printing, both for his own work and that of other artists. Among other things, he was Herman Brood’s regular printer and worked with luminaries such as Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem.
After the death of artists such as Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad van Hassel turned to a new technique: CNC laser cutting and milling. With this technique, he creates the colorful sculptures loved by art lovers worldwide.
