About the artist – Yulia Muravyeva
Yulia Muravyeva, born in Russia and living in the Netherlands since 2010, has had a passion for drawing and painting from an early age. Her parents were surprised by her talent, especially her skill in mixing colors. Yulia has a university degree in drawing in the classical arts and has experience in restoring paintings and painting icons.
Her paintings are instantly recognizable for their fresh and cheerful colors. Yulia works in an abstract style, applying flower buds to the canvas with thick layers of paint, but she also creates more detailed works. The beautiful color transitions in the background create a positive and warm feeling. Her work is constantly evolving toward a more modern and abstract style, although classical elements can still be recognized. The texture of the flowers gives her artwork an extra dimension that is difficult to capture in photographs.
