About the artist: Ad van Hassel

Ad van Hassel, born in Roosendaal in 1953, is a versatile Dutch artist who began his career in 1980. After going through various creative disciplines, he opened two exclusive galleries at the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam in 1983. Since 1990, Ad has devoted himself to the silkscreen technique, both for his own work and that of other artists. Among other things, he was Herman Brood’s regular printer for 12 years and worked with artists such as Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam and Peter Diem.

After the death of such luminaries as Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad turned his expertise to a new technique: CNC laser cutting and milling of various materials. This innovative approach has led to the creation of colorful sculptures loved by art lovers worldwide.
