About Freddie Segers
Freddie Segers (March 19, 1963 – Feb. 28, 2016), known as Vansegers, was a celebrated Dutch artist. From his childhood in Helmond, he had a fascination with cityscapes, nature and architecture. He later found inspiration in the village scenes of Tuscany, where the old, pure look and lived-in character of these places made a lasting impression on him. These elements of impermanence became a recurring theme in his works.
After his death in 2016, the supply of Segers’ artworks has become scarce, which has only increased their value and importance. His works are mainly in private collections of art lovers and collectors.
